Adventurous Elopement in Sedona and the Grand Canyon

Gabby and Warren’s favorite adventure yet has to be their elopement in Sedona and the Grand Canyon! It was their first time at these destinations and they hiked in the dark in the middle of a thunderstorm, fed deer, hugged alpacas, and were within inches of massive elk and dangerously adorable black bears. The couple ate great food, got pricked by cacti, and always chose to take roads less traveled. They drove blasting music having the best time of their lives during their elopement experience. It was truly an adventure of a lifetime to celebrate their love and union.

HOW THEY MET

“We met through a mutual friend in 2011, shared a grilled cheese, and 256 back and forth Facebook comments later, finally exchanged numbers. We spent a few weeks sending pictures to each other of one another’s favorite fruit when we found it in different supermarkets, and the rest was history! Strawberries and pineapples have remained symbolic to us over the course of our relationship.”

WHY ELOPE?

“We love to travel, we revel in the beauty of nature, and we’re low-key, private people. We didn’t need or want all those eyes on us and didn’t want to worry about entertaining a large group of people when our only focus should be one another. So, eloping was a no-brainer for us — it let us celebrate our love amidst everything we love — one another, being on the road, and enjoying one of the many awe-inspiring places that this Earth has to offer.”

FAVORITE PART OF THEIR DAY

“Exchanging vows, without a doubt. It was so special and surreal, to share our love for one another and remind ourselves, at that moment, that it’s just *us*. We were both kind of nervous, but everything after was a piece of cake.”
