Peter and Lexi first met their freshman year of high school 2002. She said: “It wasn’t until our 10 year High School reunion (October 2017) that we reconnected and began dating. At the time I was living in NYC and Peter was living in Chicago. We started dating December 1st, 2017. Shortly after I made the decision to move to Chicago in August 2018. We got engaged November 27th 2019!”. On their engagement date, I headed out for a hike (with my camera in tow) for Peter’s surprise Camelback Mountain proposal to his (now) fiancé, Lexi! Here’s their proposal story…

Lexi said: “Peter and i were traveling to AZ to be with my family on Thanksgiving. His parents did not have plans so we invited them to join us. We flew in on a Tuesday night, luna in tow. We worked a half day Wednesday before deciding to hike Camelback Mountain – a hike and view close to my heart. When we got to the top Peter pick a spot away from the crowds and proposed! He did an excellent job planning, coordinating a photographer to capture our special moment and reconnecting with our families to celebrate. I couldn’t have asked for a better plan!”

They can’t wait to dive into wedding planning and pick out their perfect venue! These cuties plan to have their dog Luna be a part of their wedding, hopefully as a flower girl that walks down their aisle. They adopted Luna after a trip to Thailand together! Lexi and Peter said that after they came home from their two week trip of exploring the coast, visiting elephant sanctuaries, hanging out at night markets and snorkeling in turquoise water, they wanted their adventure to continue – resulting in them going to an anti-cruelty and adopting Luna!

I have no doubt that the future adventures that Lexi and Peter go on, will continue to be as incredible as their past ones.
