If you live in the St. Charles County area, chances are you’ve heard of White Traditions Bridal House. It’s an absolutely breathtaking bridal shop filled with gorgeous, delicate and intricate gowns right in the heart of the Main Street Historic St. Charles district. The owner, Jessica Orf, is the absolute sweetest gal around and has the most incredible eye for detail, decor and design. She personally selects the gowns and accessories that she fills her shop with, being sure that brides will leave the shop with 100% confidence in her wedding gown selection. White Traditions has been an incredible addition to the St. Charles area for many years – her love for the shop gave Jessica the vision to open a sister-store called Cleo Bridal in O’Fallon, Missouri!

You may be thinking that Cleo Bridal is the same shop as White Traditions, with just a new name and location. If that’s what you’re thinking: you’re wrong! Jessica aims for White Traditions to be more focused on the bold, unique and bohemian whereas Cleo Bridal will house a more traditional, elegant bridal feel. White Traditions and Cleo Bridal even carry different designers altogether, making sure that they house a variety of dresses between the two shops. The best part? The gowns at Cleo Bridal are priced right around $1,500 or less! Let me tell you – if you saw the gowns at this new shop, you would not believe that they are being sold for that small of an amount. The wedding dresses at Cleo are absolutely breathtaking with such a sense of grace and simplicity. The shop itslef? It reflects Jessica’s traditional bridal vision perfectly. With white, ship-lap walls (Chip and Joanna Gaines, anyone?) and unique brass chandeliers, it boasts nothing short of breathtaking design elements. When I popped by the shop yesterday to take some images for Jessica, I asked her what the building looked like before she and her husband, Jason, purchased and began remodeling it this past summer. Get this – it has been vacant for years. It was originally a log cabin and home to Nicholas Krekel and his family. The building was also a general store, a railroad agent office, a post office, and a library. Several weddings also took place at the home throughout history. When Jessica and Jason first went inside to see the building, they even found out that raccoons had been living in it – they had their work cut out for them! They began a complete remodel this past July and have been working non-stop since (and eating tons of pizza-dinners along the way!) I was absolutely blown away by all of the work and detail they have put into crafting the perfect home for Cleo Bridal. Jason has been the main contractor for the project, so they both have put in many countless hours on the re-vamp. (Matt and I are still mid-house remodel, so we totally get that!)

Jessica told me yesterday that she finally feels like all of the broken nails have been worth it. Man, that sentence couldn’t have been more true. Don’t believe me?
