We began our hike well before sunrise for Josh and Laura’s devils bridge engagement photos. Just as we reached the top, the sun began poking out from behind the mountains – warming us up and soaking in the most glorious morning light. 2020 has been full of big events for Laura and Josh – along with COVID ruining his original proposal plans, they got engaged (in a totally different way than planned!), eloped and bought a house. The joy these two share are so evident in their photos and my time with them. Here’s their story:
The two of them met on Bumble! Their first date was on 10/10/18 – exactly two years before their photo session with me. Josh was originally planning on surprising Laura with a proposal at this epic spot this past March, but was cancelled due to COVID. He then ended up proposing while on a hike together to a waterfall and wetlands near their home! They last-minute decided to elope at his parents’ house with a few of their family members present. They had a super small ceremony and Josh’s dad even officiated their wedding! Since they couldn’t get married on 10/10/20, they decided to get married at 10:10am as a way to commemorate their date and original plans.
They love to travel together, explore new areas, going hikes, relax and home and with movies. Josh and Laura also love going to concerts with one another! The plan to continue traveling the world, visit all of the national parks and eventually go to El Nido for an official honeymoon.
It’s safe to say that Laura and Josh have made the most out of 2020 by filling it with so many big life moments!
