During Hope’s fall senior session, we talked about her past adventures, future dreams and favorite moments of high school – read it all below!
Hope’s favorite year of high school has of course, been senior year. She said that she really feels like all of her friends have really come together and made it special. She said that they have so many awesome things to look forward to and she’s glad that she gets to spend it with some of her favorite people! While in high school, she has been involved in basketball and track. She’s also president of both the student section at her school, and their breakfast club! She has loved all of the classes that she has taken that are related to history or politics. She loves to have academic discussions about the nation and feels that those classes have given her the opportunity to do so! Hope said that the best moment of high school has been attending all of the sporting events. She’s loved playing in them, cheering for them, showing school spirit and being tight knit as a school altogether.
Hope’s dreams have come true, as she will be attending the University of Mississippi in the fall of 2018 to study law! (Get this – that was the ONLY school that she applied for! She didn’t want to go anywhere else, and was thrilled when she was accepted.) Hope wants to become a criminal defense attorney to help people who are in need of seeking justice. She can’t wait to live down south, with a difference in scenery and the ability to meet so many new people. Hope isn’t shy when in a new environment, and can’t wait to feel like she is thriving when she moves to ‘Ole Miss. Though she is excited to go to college, she isn’t looking forward to leaving her parents – Hope said that they truly are her best friends and realizes how excited they are for her to start the next chapter of her life. She said that she knows they will be traveling down to see her all the time, and can’t wait for the weekends when she will be able to drive back to St. Louis to surprise them.
As I mentioned earlier, Hope has incredible dreams and aspirations for her future and I know she is going to go far, making a difference. I’m so excited for her!
