Hannah and Alex’s laid-back elopement day in Sedona was something that was destined to happen. Back in late 2019, Hannah told me that she stumbled across my website and wished that instead of a big wedding that they were planning, they could go elope in Sedona. Fast-forward to spring and fall of 2020, their wedding had been rescheduled twice due to the coronavirus. At that point, Alex and Hannah sat down and decided to go with the dream plan of going to Sedona for their elopement! Here’s their story:
“A mutual friend of ours introduced via videochat late one evening. We ended up staying up until like 3am just talking, when Alex asked Hannah to call and wake him up in the morning. We’ve been inseparable ever since! Alex later proposed in Pennsylvania. There’s a huge botanical gardens, Longwood Gardens. Hannah had been asking Alex to go for years. In December 2018, Alex asked Hannah to go take photos for our Christmas card. When we got there, it was crazy crowded and Alex didn’t think he’d find a secluded place. After walking around all evening, he finally found the perfect spot and got down on one knee and popped the question!”
“We loved the idea of a hike up a mountain – not something a lot of people get to say they did on their wedding day. We both loved the photos on the blog and were excited to experience Sedona on a trip together. We also love nighttime long exposure photography so going stargazing to end the day was the perfect fit for us! Our favorite part by far was getting to spend the whole day together — from a nice breakfast in the morning, to Alex watching the soccer game while I got my hair and makeup done — the day really was about us! Sharing our vows on the mountainside, with the amazing view was absolutely unforgettable – then going to watch the sunset – literally we could not have asked for a better, more romantic day.
