Sienna and James met up with me for their Sedona mountaintop engagement session and DANG was it great. I asked these babes all about how they met, fell in love, their proposal and favorite adventures. Guess what? They’re about to take us through their whole journey! Believe me when I say that it’s dang good.
How They Met:
Sienna: “James and I met at work. His roommate got him the job at Tilly’s for the holiday season and we were both sales associates! We were always friendly with each other but we started to talk outside of work and after texting non-stop for a couple of weeks, we went on our first date. Over that summer we were inseparable. When the summer ended, I got promoted so I was his boss for a little bit! (Oops, scandalous!)”
James: “Funny enough our first “date” was at the In n Out which was across the street from our store. Sienna had came into the store before we closed and waited for me to get off so we could hang-out and grab something to eat. A quick bite to eat turned into us talking in the In n Out booth for a couple hours, there was never a dull moment, it was perfect.”
Sienna: “We took a trip to San Diego for the weekend and at first, I wanted to cancel it because I was in between jobs and didn’t want to spend the money. He convinced me so, we saw a Padre’s game that Friday and on Saturday we enjoyed a brunch together. He took me to the bridge that is in between Petco Park and the Convention Center because it overlooks the Coronado Bridge. (Backstory, we took a trip to Coronado Island the first couple of years we were together and this is where, he says, he realized he wanted to marry me.) He proposed on the bridge!”
James: “What Sienna doesn’t know is that I really didn’t have a plan for the day. All I knew was that I wanted to take her to brunch and then to the Convention Center bridge to propose. Believe me when I saw going to brunch first was a mistake, I was BEYOND nervous throughout the whole meal. When I asked if she wanted to walk down to the bridge with me, I think she knew something was up. When I got to the top of the bridge my heart was racing and I honestly thought my legs might give out. All I remember is getting down on one knee, stumbling through some words, and her saying yes.”
Favorite Adventure to Date:
Sienna: “I think one of my favorite experiences was when we went to St. Louis for James’ birthday in 2017. He is a big Cardinals fan and this was both of our first times to the Midwest. We went to two games, went to the Anheuser-Busch brewery, and we saw live jazz music.”
James: “Going to St. Louis was a lot of fun. We had no plans other than see the city, watch some baseball, and have a good time. We actually ended up walking to our hotel from the jazz club at about 2AM which apparently is a big no-no in downtown St. Louis, but we didn’t have a care in the world. Another adventure for us that will always be memorable was when we went to Mexico with her family for the first time. For me, I’ll always remember it as the trip that when I became part of her family. I wasn’t just some boyfriend that was hanging around anymore, I was one of the family.”
Sienna and James have been loving wedding planning together, and even told me that they feel it’s been stress free since they’ve decided to tackle it as a team! They love to travel, and can’t wait to visit every baseball stadium throughout their marriage together. Their wedding day next summer is going to be SO amazing and I absolutely cannot wait to celebrate these two babes.
