This Sedona vineyard proposal made me feel like I was transported to Napa Valley, in a gorgeous vineyard from the Parent Trap movie. It was so peaceful, in it’s little tucked-away corner of Sedona. Here’s their story:
“We met on a Friday night in September 2013 in NYC. She was walking down the street and heading to a bar on 3rd Avenue with her girlfriends. I was with my roommate and trying to find the bar that she had just left from. His taxi stopped too soon and as I was getting out of the cab, I noticed the group of girls walking down the street. I asked her and her friends, “Where are you girls going?” She told me they were heading to a bar down the street, and that was when he decided to change their plans to follow the group. We had an instant connection and he laughed when I asked him if he had chocolate on him after he told her he was from Switzerland. The group danced the night away and the rest is history!”
“He had been planning a proposal to take place in April 2020, but unfortunately COVID happened and paused his plans. My best friend and I, Lauren, were organizing a weekend trip to Sedona during Memorial Day weekend. With the help of my mom, sisters, and Lauren, he was able to plan the perfect proposal in less than 2 weeks. The two of us along with Lauren, and her fiancé, Kyle, visited the Alcantara Vineyard in Sedona to relax and wine taste. The group decided to walk around the vineyard and discovered a beautiful chapel close by. As he and I walked into the building, our friends Courtney and Johnny from California were there as a surprise. I was in complete shock and started to tear up. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. The group celebrated the proposal and our amazing photographer, Allison, captured every special moment. He even planned a Zoom call with my entire family who could not attend due to COVID. It truly was an amazing day and the celebrations continued in Sedona and Scottsdale that weekend.”
“He is an avid golfer and tennis player. He even bought me a set of golf clubs shortly after we moved to Santa Monica. We like to play on weekends together when the weather is nice. There are several hiking trails close to our apartment that we like to hike together. We also enjoy exploring cities, trying new restaurants and going out to eat for date night whenever we can! We have also decided to finally get a puppy during this crazy time of staying at home. We are so excited to get our new family member Pearl. When we are able to travel again, some countries we want to visit are Japan, Scotland, Ireland, and the Maldives!”
It’s no secret thatches babes have such an incredible story together, starting with when he chased her down the street to be able to meet one another. Congrats to these two!!
