Raquel and Nick’s Sunset Bluffs Missouri wedding was THE most gorgeous day. We had 50 degree temperatures throughout the day and a sunny sky – SUCH an incredible thing after Missouri had snowy weather earlier that week!! But, let’s back up a little. Here’s how Nick proposed to Raquel:
The Proposal:
“Once we arrived at the restaurant, we immediately set our stuff down at the table and back to the spot from earlier on the lawn overlooking the beach and Pacific Ocean. Up first for pictures was Chris and Rachel. Then I told Mom and Dad to go so they could all get their pictures before the big moment, knowing once we started our pictures, no one else would have a chance.
We started our pictures and I was doing my best to not have her feel the ring box in my suit jacket pocket. Once we got through some photos I got down on one knee and popped the question. However, I had to pull her back over to me because she thought I was joking again lol. This time though, it wasn’t a joke. I was asking the love of my life to begin a journey with me forever. Once she gathered herself from the amazing sparkle of the ring, she said YES! The next 45 minutes we took pictures, cried, and took more pictures. Finally we set down to eat, which Raquel was too excited to do. Me on the other hand, got the Diamond Margarita and enjoyed the dinner. We proceeded to call our families that weren’t there and inform them of the news.
After which, we made our first social media post. We had kept our whole relationship private and never posted or told anyone of it. This caught everyone by surprise. Best way ever.” (to read their FULL proposal, click here!)
The Wedding:
Fast forward to their wedding day – their fairytale wedding vision was based off of the movie Crazy Rich Asians! Their favorite moment of their day was when they were standing at the altar together, when Raquel sang the worship song that she wrote.Their day was truly such a reflection of their love for each other, for Jesus and their loved ones.
Guys, enjoy their wedding day blog. It’s a good one.
Cheers!
Allison
