Amanda and Patrick’s sunset wedding at The Paseo was a chilly, windy day but filled with so many fun moments. Here’s their story:
“Patrick proposed at Falling Water in PA. I’d been asking to see the house for a while and he finally took me. We toured the house and then he had a hike that he wanted to take me on. So we drove away from the house to a trail that is not often used. There were spiders across the trail every 10 feet and fallen logs blocking the path. Patrick kept looking at me with a pleading desperate look (he doesn’t like spiders), but picked up a stick and forged on. We hiked for about a mile until we finally got to Paradise Overlook where he popped the question. I began jumping up and down and almost knocked the ring over a cliff. As we began making our way back, we realized we were only about 50 feet behind the Falling Water House. We opted to walk back into Falling Water and walk up the road to our car rather than hike back with all the spiders.”
After a lot of research and giving ourselves too many options, The Paseo was the only venue that we both liked. We wanted to pick one in a place that was relatively easy for all of our family to get to and was in a meaningful place to us. We both went to ASU and since Phoenix is a hub, we figured Phoenix was the best place for us to get married.
Amanda: The first look. I knew I was finally going to see Patrick and that we would be together from then on.
Patrick: Going into the bridal suite before the ceremony to help Amanda with her nerves. It made me feel special and needed.
After celebrating with their friends and family, the two of them honeymooned in Hawaii to have the most epic start to their marriage.
Cheers!
