On a beautiful summer day, Masie and Ian were married surrounded by the beauty of Mt Rainier.
They knew they wanted a unique and adventure-filled elopement experience that would be memorable for both of them. They both have a strong appreciation and love for the great outdoors, and Mount Rainier has been a common point of interest for them since they first met.
Their ceremony was held on an edge of a cliff overlooking the mountain’s snowy peaks. The couple exchanged vows they had written themselves while looking out over their future together—and we were happy to document this special day!
See more of this intimate wedding in Mt Rainier below! Here’s their story:
“Ian and I met through a mutual friend when we were 24. We actually went to the same elementary school and were in the same 5th-grade class. We also grew up a mile apart from each other. But, we ended up going to different high schools and didn’t cross paths again until later. The friend who reconnected us will most likely officiate our wedding.”
“We did have a wedding planned for August 21st, 2021 that we decided to cancel due to covid. Neither of us really wanted a big wedding to begin with. Both of us felt like we needed to have a large wedding to cater to our families. Even though we had to cancel, we were happy with that decision because eloping is much more our style.”
“Our favorite adventure together was our most recent trip to Washington state and that is why we chose to elope there!”
