A surprise wedding proposal from Nick at one of their favorite breweries (after they had just put an offer in on their now first home!), lead up to their Main Street Abbey wedding. They had a rainy wedding day, but they didn’t let the gloomy weather affect their plans (plus, it’s an old wives tale that rain on your wedding day is good luck!)
Angela said that “When I heard everyone stand and the doors opened, it was automatically my favorite part of our wedding day. I was able to walk down the aisle with my Dad, which a few months ago we were not sure would happen. He hugged me (which is not something our family does) for what felt like an eternity and I didn’t want to let him go – but I was so excited to see Nick.”
They privately read their handwritten vows to one another before their wedding officially began, and spent the ceremony smiling and staring straight into each other’s eyes. We then snuck outside for a few images of them as an official married couple, with the rainy weather having cleared up. Their Gatsby inspired decor at the Main Street Abbey was gorgeous, with the feathers and beads being beautifully accented by the venue’s purple uplighting and incredible vaulted ceilings. They decided upon this venue because it used to be a Catholic Church (Angela wanted to incorporate Catholic but not necessarily Catholic wedding) that used to be called Immaculate Conception, which was the same name as Angela’s church she grew up at.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Hipp danced the night away with their closest friends and family before jetting off on their honeymoon to Secrets of Maroma.
It was truly an incredible Main Street Abbey wedding.
